From the west to the east, Superstorm is embarking on a new journey in his racing career by competing in Queensland's most lucrative race this coming weekend.
Once trained by Grant and Alana Williams for Peters Investments, the former WA galloper is now under the guidance of Lauren Abbott and will make his debut under her care in the Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap (1400m) on Saturday.
Superstorm's Comeback: A Triumph
The six-year-old hasn’t raced since he finished last in the Gr.2 Australia Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley earlier this year.
Abbott said she was thankful to get the opportunity to train a horse of Superstorm’s calibre.

Superstorm's Impressive Racing Career
Superstorm's impressive track record includes a Gr.1 Cantala Stakes (1600m) win and competitive performance in the Gr. 1 Mackinnon Stakes (2000m) during the 2021 Melbourne Cup carnival, leading up to his most recent run in the Australia Stakes.
James Orman will be in the saddle, riding Superstorm from barrier 16 during the upcoming race.
Abbott remains pragmatic about Superstorm's chances this weekend and has set his sights on the Listed Tatts Mile (1600m) on June 24 as his primary goal.
“It would be a great fairy tale if we could pull it off,” she said.
“Obviously, a mile is his best distance.
“If he’s storming home in the last 200 metres I’d be just
