On Wednesday at Royal Ascot, a field of six top-quality runners including Adayar, Bay Bridge, and Luxembourg will compete in the Gr.1 Prince of Wales's Stakes at 4.20.
My Prospero, Mostahdaf, and Classic Causeway are also among the contenders for the UK£1 million race. These horses have collectively earned numerous Group one victories, including in prestigious events such as the Derby, King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes, Champion Stakes, Irish Champion Stakes, and Belmont Derby.
Dettori's Derby Disappointment
Frankie Dettori will not be riding in the Prince of Wales's Stakes as his intended partner, last year's Derby winner Desert Crown, was unable to compete due to a minor injury.
Frankie Dettori will ride Reach For The Moon for the King and Queen in the Royal Hunt Cup, while Richard Kingscote, who would have been replaced by Dettori on Desert Crown, will ride Astro King in the same race.
Although Aidan O'Brien doesn't have a horse in the Queen Mary Stakes, he does have a contender in the Windsor Castle Stakes. He won this race last year with Little Big Bear and this year, Johannes Brahms will represent him. Meanwhile, Fandom will run for Ward in the 5f competition.
The Duke of Cambridge Stakes will feature ten runners, including Internationalangel, who is trained by last year's winning trainer, Jane Chapple-Hyam. Prosperous Voyage and Jumbly are also among the contenders, but the Gosdens have not declared Laurel for the race.
In the Queen Mary Stakes, three horses trained in the US, Bundchen, Crimson Advocate, and Cynane, will compete. Matrika and Porta Fortuna will not be participating in the race.
Gregory, who will be running for the first time in the colors of his new owners Wathnan Racing, and Circle Of Fire, representing the King and Queen, are the entries of John and Thady Gosden for the Queen's Vase.
