Instead of participating in the upcoming spring season, talented sprinter Coolangatta has decided to concentrate on the A$1 million Magic Millions Sprint at the Gold Coast in January.
After a disappointing 11th-place finish in the King's Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot, plans have changed and there were thoughts of going to the US for the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint.
“The performance was below par, there is no doubt about that, she didn’t fire.” Trainer David Eustace admitted.
Coolangatta Overcomes Rain-Soaked Challenge
Coolangatta pulled up well despite the unfavorable conditions caused by heavy rain on race day.
After taking a break in Australia at the start of August, Coolangatta will have a month off to evaluate her preparedness for upcoming races.
In 2022, Coolangatta, who was bought for A$280,000 at the Gold Coast Magic Millions, emerged victorious in the 2YO Classic.
