Adayar, who helped Adam Kirby achieve a significant Derby victory two years ago, has recently retired to stud after a lackluster performance at Newmarket this month.
In 2021, Godolphin's homebred horse won the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes. However, it has not achieved similar success since then and performed poorly in the Princess of Wales's Stakes, where it was expected to win at 1-3 odds.
“Adayar provided the team with two outstanding days on the racecourse at Epsom and Ascot and has been a firm favourite in the yard for the past three seasons," said trainer Charlie Appleby.
"He has been an absolute pleasure to train. He'll be sorely missed at Moulton Paddocks but we look forward to watching him in his new career at stud and are quite sure he will be a huge success.”
Adayar's Stud Silence: Kirby's Unforgettable Victory
Adayar, who was not chosen by William Buick when he rode Hurricane Lane in the Derby, has not announced any stud plans. This allowed Kirby to have the greatest moment of his career.
Kirby was originally supposed to ride John Leeper for Ed Dunlop, but Frankie Dettori replaced him, resulting in Oisin Murphy being taken off Adayar.
During the Derby, Kirby and Adayar, who had odds of 16-1, had a smooth race and easily beat Mojo Star by four and a half lengths, with Hurricane Lane coming in third.
Buick, the stable jockey for Appleby, returned to ride Adayar in King George, where the son of Frankel defeated Mishriff and Love, who were both high-class contenders.
However, Adayar was defeated in the 2021 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and Champion Stakes. He took a break until September of last year, when he won a conditions race at Doncaster.
After another loss in the Champion Stakes, Adayar returned this season with a win in the Gordon Richards Stakes. However, he placed third in the Prince of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot before his race at Newmarket.
During his 2YO season, Adayar won a maiden race at Nottingham by nine lengths and earned £1,920,217 in prize money.
