Amelia's Jewel, the remarkable filly, continues to shine in her illustrious career as she secures the prestigious Racehorse of the Year title at the WA Thoroughbred Racing Awards held tonight.
This extraordinary achievement is further amplified by her triumph in the 3YO Racehorse of the Year category, capping off a remarkable season highlighted by victories in the esteemed Gr.1 Northerly, Gr.2 WA Guineas, and a thrilling second-place finish in the highly anticipated $4 million Quokka race.
As the daughter of the esteemed Siyouni, now a 4YO, Amelia's Jewel sets her sights on further success during her upcoming campaign in the eastern states. In the meantime, her owner Peter Walsh also basks in glory as he receives the accolade for the season's leading breeder under Amelia Park Racing and Breeding.
Daniel Morton, the esteemed trainer, celebrates the success of his talented duo, Super Smink and Kissonallforcheeks, who clinch the titles of 2YO Racehorse of the Year and 4YO Racehorse of the Year, respectively.
Adam Durrant, the renowned trainer, concludes the season in spectacular fashion by securing victories in the Gr.3 Asian Beau Stakes and the listed Carbine Club of WA Stakes, Belmont Oaks, and Belmont Classic. His outstanding performance earns him the title of Leading State Trainer. Neville Parnham, with an impressive tally of 59 season wins, secures the Leading Metropolitan Trainer award.

The Wizard himself, William Pike, stands tall as he claims both the Leading State and Metropolitan Jockey titles after an astounding record of 165 wins. Notable among his victories are the Group 2 WATC Derby and Group 3 Northam Stakes, La Trice Classic, and The Gold Rush.
Brayden Gaerth and Holly Watson, apprentice jockeys of immense talent, take home the honors of Leading State and Leading Metropolitan Apprentice Jockey, respectively.
In the realm of breeding, Playing God rises above the legendary Blackfriars to claim the title of Leading Sire, while Bumbasina is rightfully acknowledged as the Leading Broodmare.
In a special tribute to those who have made significant contributions to the racing community, the inaugural WA Spirit of Racing Award is presented to Julie Mitchell for her unwavering support for racing participants and horses. Additionally, Ross and Tammy Price are recognized for their generosity in opening their private property to trainers during the Bunbury redevelopment.

The esteemed 2022/23 Thoroughbred of the Year Awards ceremony was attended by approximately 260 guests at the luxurious Ritz Carlton in Perth.
