Trainer Aidan O'Brien recently shared an update on his Breeders' Cup hopefuls in an interview with the U.K. TV channel At the Races. The interview was posted on X last Thursday.
Auguste Rodin, the Group One Irish Champion Stakes winner last September 9th, is leading the contingent. He is only 3YO.
O’Brien said he’s “very happy with him since he’s had a nice break. Physically, he’s done very well. … He’s ready to go again.”
According to O'Brien, Auguste Rodin, who has won three Group One races this year, is aiming for the Breeders' Cup Turf. Bolshoi Ballet, a 5YO with only one win this year's five starts, may also be entered in the Turf.
Additionally, Unquestionable, a maiden winner who finished second in the Prix Jean Luc Lagardere Grand Criterium Gr.1 in Paris, and River Tiber, who has won his first two starts but finished third in two Group One races since, could both start in the Juvenile Turf. Warm Heart, a 3YO filly with Group One wins in her last two starts, is expected to compete in the Filly & Mare Turf. O'Brien mentioned that final decisions won't be made for a few days.
