Inglis Bloodstock CEO Sebastian Hutch acknowledges Easter as the most important yearling sale in the Southern Hemisphere, and this year's catalogue certainly lives up to its reputation.
“This sale also has an outstanding record of success, possessing the best strike rate of any sale in Australasia in terms of Stakes winners to runners over an extended period of time,’’ Hutch said.
“To put that into perspective, since 2018 buyers are 49% more likely to find a Group winner at Easter than they are at the next best yearling sale in Australia.
“The catalogue this year really is extraordinary.
“I think everybody respects the Winx/Pierro filly will garner most of the media’s attention – and understandably so – but from a strictly bloodstock perspective, she is surrounded by some of best credentialled yearlings that have ever been offered for sale in Australia.
“The interest in the sale is incredible and while the big-priced lots attract the headlines, I think the savvy investors know there is real value to be found at the sale, highlighted by the fact that there were over 120 yearlings that could have been bought at the sale for $200,000 or less last year.
“We’re as always grateful to the breeders and vendors who have entrusted us with their best stock to sell at Easter and we can’t wait for April to come around so we can showcase the quality to a global audience.’’
Every yearling bought at the Easter Sale gets the chance to enroll in the highly profitable Inglis Race Series. This series includes four major races: the US$2 million Inglis Millennium, the US$1 million Inglis Sprint, the US$1 million Inglis Pink Bonus, and the US$5 million Inglis Xtra Bonus, which associates 50 bonus payments of US$100,000 each with designated Maidens.
Physical copies of the Easter catalogue will be obtainable in two weeks.
