Fasig-Tipton has announced the cataloging of 240 selected yearlings for the prestigious 103rd Saratoga Sale, scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, August 5 and 6, in Saratoga Springs, New York. Each evening's session will commence at 6:30 pm in the Humphrey S. Finney Sales Pavilion.
“Our consignors have supported Saratoga with an outstanding group of yearlings once again this year,” said Fasig-Tipton President Boyd Browning.
“The sire power on offer is strong and diverse, and the depth of pedigree as good as we have had in recent memory. We have siblings to 57 graded stakes winners catalogued, several of which are Gr.1.”
Once again, The Saratoga Sale has earned its position as the leading major North American yearling sale by percentage of Gr.1 winners and graded stakes winners, according to recent statistics released by The BloodHorse MarketWatch.
Recent sales graduates include five Gr.1 winning colts in Kingsbarns (2024 Stephen Foster S.); National Treasure (2023 Preakness S., 2024 Pegasus World Cup, and Metropolitan H.); Prince of Monaco (2023 Del Mar Futurity); Seize the Grey (2024 Preakness S.); and Sierra Leone (2024 Blue Grass S.)
The sale also has the distinction of producing the two most recent Preakness S. winners in Seize the Grey and National Treasure.
“Saratoga offers the highest concentration of quality of any yearling sale in the world,” noted Browning.
“From catalogues of just 200 or more yearlings, Saratoga has produced five of the sport’s most exciting stallion prospects in Kingsbarns, National Treasure, Prince of Monaco, Seize the Grey, and Sierra Leone, as well as back-to-back Preakness winners.”
The catalogue may now be viewed online, and will also be available via the equineline sales catalogue app. Print catalogues are now available from all Fasig-Tipton offices.
