Account delivered a commanding performance to capture the Al Jumayliyah Cup at Al Rayyan Racecourse on Tuesday, bouncing back to winning ways with an authoritative four-and-a-half-length victory.
The 6YO, owned by Khalifa Hassan Al Jehani and trained by Owaida Salem Al Hajri, controlled the pace from the outset before powering clear in the home straight under jockey Olivier d'Andigne.
D'Andigne, who also won the opening race of the day, partnered Account with perfect judgement in the feature race, capping a fine day for the rider. The winners were crowned by Abdulla Rashid Al Kubaisi, QREC Racing Manager.
The jockey completed his double aboard Al Daab, trained by Jean de Mieulle, in the concluding Purebred Arabian Maiden Plate.
Soufiane Saadi enjoyed a remarkable afternoon, riding three winners for different trainers. His successful run began with Billboard Star, owned by Nasser Saif Al Kubaisi and trained by Mohammed Ghazali, who galloped to a length victory in the Thoroughbred Conditions race over 1200m.
Saadi then partnered Baker De Saularie to a narrow short-head triumph in the Purebred Arabian Handicap. The winner is both owned and trained by Osama Omer Al Dafea.
Completing his treble, Saadi guided Thor's Hammer to a comfortable two-and-a-half lengths success in the Thoroughbred Handicap. The winner, representing Al Rufaa Racing, is trained by Jassim Ghazali.
Abdulla Rashid Al Hajri partnered Wathnan Racing's Amersun to an impressive ten-and-a-half lengths victory in the Local Purebred Arabian Handicap. The winner is trained by Alban Elie De Mieulle.
Al Hajri was also successful aboard See All Match, trained by Abdulaziz Ali Al Kathiri, while Pierre Charles Boudot steered Bojdoor to victory for trainer Mohd Ahmed Mohd Hasan Al Sulaiti.
The card was completed when Mohammed Hassan Ali Alabdulmalik partnered It's A Hot One to success for trainer Deborah Amanda Clare Mountain in the Thoroughbred Maiden Plate.
