Jockey Ben Allen is set to resume his partnership with unbeaten mare Marabi on Saturday as he also looks to extend a formidable recent record with the Ciaron Maher and Dave Eustace yard.
Allen is booked to ride Marabi as she chases her first Gr.2 in Saturday's Australia Stakes (1200m) and if successful, the mare's record will rise to six wins from as many starts, while Allen's record will swell to five wins in a row for Victoria's premier stable.
After Allen combined with Marabi to win her first five races, Jamie Kah took over aboard the five-year-old when she won her first Stakes race in the Christmas Stakes at Caulfield on Boxing Day, when she had just 54 kilograms.
Under the weight-for-age conditions of the Australia Stakes, Marabi must carry 56.5kg and bookmakers certainly think she can do so successfully after Sportsbet installed her the early $1.90 favourite.
