In a thrilling conclusion to the 16.00 feature, Al Doha, partnered by Mickael Barzalona for H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Al Thani, secured second place after a determined challenge. H M Alchahine, ridden by Christian Demuro, claimed third for National Stables in what proved to be an outstanding renewal.
The victory marks Al Ghadeer's unprecedented achievement as a two-time Arabian Triple Crown winner, following his successful defence of the Qatar Arabian World Cup at ParisLongchamp. Under Soumillon, this exceptional son of dual World Champion Al Mourtajez demonstrated his dominance, maintaining his perfect record while creating history. Today's success is particularly noteworthy as he faced a strong challenge from fellow Al Mourtajez progeny Al Doha, who continued her impressive run of four consecutive Gr.1 PA performances, highlighting the extraordinary influence of their sire on elite Arabian racing.
Trainer Francois Rohaut had described Al Ghadeer as "the horse of a lifetime" following his Paris success, noting: "I've been waiting 40 years to have a horse like that and I've seen some really good ones." Today's performance further cemented that assessment, with the son of Al Mourtajez maintaining his perfect record in emphatic style.
The achievement marks another milestone for Al Shaqab Racing, whose champion continues to establish himself as one of the most remarkable Purebred Arabians in recent history. Bred by Mohammad Al Najafi out of the double Gr.2 winner Gharraa, Al Ghadeer's sustained excellence at the highest level suggests his remarkable story may have more chapters yet to unfold.
