Ridhaz, a gelded son of Iffraaj, emerged as the star attraction at Tuesday's Goffs Autumn Horses In Training Sale, commanding US$235,000 (€220,000) from Michael Donohoe of BBA Ireland. The 3YO, trained by Michael Halford and Tracey Collins, boasts an impressive profile as a brother to Stakes winner Riyazan, who later excelled in Hong Kong Group races.
Masoun, another gelding from the Aga Khan draft, found favour with Blandford Bloodstock at US$112,000 (€105,000). The son of Too Darn Hot, out of Listed winner Massinga, had recently scored a decisive victory in a Curragh handicap for trainer Johnny Murtagh.
The sale demonstrated its international appeal with buyers representing China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Libya, Poland, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Serbia securing prospects for their respective racing jurisdictions.
Thecompanysergeant, offered by Martin Cooney, secured US$117,000 (€110,000) from Kevin Ross Bloodstock and Gavin Cromwell. The versatile performer, trained by Denis Hogan, has notched five wins and achieved Graded placings over both hurdles and fences.
In another significant transaction, Eddie Harty secured Imarjan, a progressive Camelot gelding, for US$75,000 (€70,000) on behalf of Stroud Coleman and Clancy Bloodstock. The 3YO will be aimed at Cheltenham for his American connections.
The Aga Khan Studs' draft continued to attract attention as their Sea The Stars gelding Raydamann, out of Gr.2 Debutante Stakes winner Raydara, was purchased by Aidan O'Ryan and Gordon Elliott for US$73,000 (€68,000).
Goffs Group Chief Executive Henry Beeby reflected positively on the sale's international reach and strong results, particularly highlighting the Aga Khan draft's contribution. The sale transitioned smoothly into the Autumn Yearling Sale, where a Mohaather sister to Listed winner Al Asifah, consigned by Derrinstown Stud, topped proceedings at US$117,000 (€110,000), secured by Barry Lynch and Jack Davison Racing for an Irish-American partnership.
