The Saudi Cup is the world’s most valuable race and this year Kildare-based Equine MediRecord will be deploying their revolutionary software platform for all the horses racing in this year’s two day event.
Tom Ryan of the Saudi Cup was excited with the partnership.
“We are delighted to be expanding our Equine MediRecord involvement this year to include an Arabic module. The initial use of the system for the 2022 event was an outstanding success, the core fundamentals of the technology are rock solid,” he said.
The platform will support the highly prestigious Group One feature for the full veterinary history of the horse to be recorded securely, ensuring the best possible horse welfare as well as aiding with crucial anti-doping procedures.
The platform will provide all entrants, trainers and vets, a system to comply with the latest anti-doping and animal welfare measures, allowing information to be collected digitally.
Equine Medirecord is an industry leader who strives to ensure integrity of all information maintained and its algorithms guarantee the compliance for all horses who participate before they race.
This year the platform will include a new Arabic version to help all the Saudi based trainers and veterinarians more easily use the system to help clear the Saudi based horses through the festival’s equine welfare protocols.
Pierce Dargan, Chief Executive Officer of Equine MediRecord is a great advocate for not only the industry but also the maintenance of integrity in hands with advancing the equine industry into the next chapter.
“We are thrilled about our partnership with the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia and doing all we can to help again ensure that the best horse welfare and transparency protocols are followed for this year’s Saudi Cup. We are excited to deploy the Arabic version of our Equine MediRecord system with Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia’s support and hope this will drive adoption of our system by more equine events in the region that want to ensure the best equine welfare and bio-security protocols are being followed at their events.”
Equine MediRecord’s platform has seen extensive international traction after its launch only a number of years ago having already amassed an impressive list of clients and users including the Thoroughbred Owners of California, Maryland 5 Star, Kentucky Thoroughbred Association, the Arabian Racing Organisation, Pegasus World Cup, Preakness Stakes and Breeders’ Cup World Championships. Last year Equine MediRecord received a multimillion dollar investment from Merits Holdings to become part of their Business Infusions group, the largest equine veterinary software group in the world.
The company sells and maintains a revolutionary software platform which allows for the full veterinary history of the horse to be recorded securely, ensuring the best possible horse welfare as well as aiding with crucial anti-doping procedures.
With the sport and its integrity in the spotlight the Irish innovation is sure to be adopted by more top racing organisations who are looking to ensure best possible welfare and anti-doping practices for the horses in their care.
