Zac Purton has been selected to ride Light Infantry in the prestigious King Charles III Stakes, a Group One race set to take place at Sydney's Randwick racecourse on October 14th.
This event falls on the same day as The Everest, one of Australia's most renowned races with an astounding A$20 million prize.
Meanwhile, Hugh Bowman has received approval from the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) to participate in high-stakes Group one races in Australia. He is all set to saddle up on Lindermann in the upcoming Underwood Stakes, another Group one event scheduled for September 23rd at Caulfield in Melbourne.
After fulfilling his commitment to the Underwood Stakes, Bowman will swiftly return to Hong Kong to honor his race riding engagements at the Sha Tin meeting on September 24th. Similarly, Purton will also embark on a return journey to Hong Kong in time for his obligations at the Sha Tin meeting, after his appearance in the King Charles III Stakes.
Although Purton has not yet secured a ride for The Everest 2023, he remains hopeful while focusing on his upcoming races in Hong Kong before venturing back to Australia. Both Purton and Bowman's participation in these prestigious races highlights their talent and recognition in the competitive world of horse racing.
