The Open Day organized by the Emirates Equestrian Centre at their premises in Bab Al Shams on Sunday was a great success, attracting a large number of equine enthusiasts from all over the UAE. The event, particularly aimed at newcomers interested in riding and other equestrian disciplines, generated immense interest and excitement.
Affiliated to the Dubai Equestrian Club, the Emirates Equestrian Centre conducts events in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Under the guidance of Sheikh Rashed bin Dalmook Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dubai Racing Club and Dubai Equestrian Club, and Major General Dr. Mohammed Essa Al Adhab, Member of the Board of Directors and Director General of the Dubai Equestrian Club, the Open Day was successfully organized.
The event, which lasted for three hours at the Emirates Equestrian Centre, welcomed riders of all levels. It saw an impressive attendance of nearly 150 visitors, with 90% of them being newcomers eager to learn and gain knowledge about horses, riding, and equestrianism in general.
During the Open Day, visitors had the opportunity to explore and understand more about the Emirates Equestrian Centre's riding school program, which the prestigious British Horse Society approves. The event featured qualified and experienced instructors from the Emirates Equestrian Centre, who were available for a friendly chat and to answer any questions regarding riding and other aspects of equestrianism and equine sport.
As the only facility fully approved by the British Horse Society Centre in the Middle East, the Emirates Equestrian Centre offers the highest standard of training supervised by certified instructors. They cater to riders of all levels, from beginners to advanced, ensuring that users receive top-notch instruction and guidance.
Speaking on the event, Yousef Al Mulla, Deputy Director General of Dubai Equestrian Club, said, “We experienced a great turnout for the Emirates Equestrian Centre’s Open Day and moreover there is a huge number of people that want to join and participate in activities organised by the club, which indicates how big the base is for equestrian sport, which is heavily rooted in the culture of the UAE.
“I would like to wish everyone who attended the event all the very best for whatever it is they want to pursue when it comes to events at the club and we look forward to welcoming more and more people to take advantage of the excellence that is available at the club both in terms of facilities and the faculty, which comprises a group of a highly experienced and qualified instructors.”
Tahira Ahmed, Director of the Emirates Equestrian Centre, added, “We conduct courses for all levels of riders and we conduct classes for individuals and groups in a variety of equine related disciplines and equestrian sport.
“Over the years, the Emirates Equestrian Centre had done a lot to educate people in terms of equine sport and has helped develop some really fine and talented riders who have gone on to do well in the sport.”
