Joe Pride's star pair, who finished first and third in Saturday's Everest, are now scheduled to meet once again in the Giga Kick Stakes.
Trainer Joe Pride, who has conquered Everest, would have preferred to take different paths for his stable stars Think About It and Private Eye. However, due to a A$1 million appearance fee, they will both be competing against each other in the forthcoming Giga Kick Stakes at Rosehill.
Think About It, who is currently leading the Sportsbet Sprint Series from Private Eye, managed to win The Everest at Randwick last Saturday, beating I Wish I Win and Private Eye. The Giga Kick Stakes offer bonuses for horses that place well in the Sportsbet Sprint Series, making it a crucial race for both horses. On Saturday night, Pride took a quiet moment to reflect on his partnership with Jamie Walter's Proven Thoroughbreds. Notably, Jamie Walter is the brother of the late Guy Walter, an esteemed Sydney trainer who passed away in 2014.
“They have all started to calculate what it will be, and there were a lot of very happy people at work on Sunday morning,” Pride said. “Peter V’landys has done a great job so that everyone shares in a success like this. headtopics.com
“I’ll just watch her and see what happens. She’s never been passed in her life. She’s always done all the passing, so something’s clearly not right,” Miller said.“My gut is that maybe the track record took more out of her than we thought. But everything she has done behind the scenes leading to this was of her usual self.
