Rammah demonstrated his enduring class with a commanding performance in the Al Kharrara Cup at Al Rayyan Racecourse, sprinting to an emphatic three-length victory under Jefferson Smith. The 9YO gelding, owned by Hamad Nasser H Al Naimi and trained by Ahmed Kobeissi, produced a devastating turn of foot in the closing stages of the 1200m Purebred Arabian Handicap.
The 21st Al Rayyan Race Meeting proved particularly fruitful for jockey Youssef Lachhab, who secured a remarkable treble. His victories came aboard Dukhan in the Local Thoroughbred Handicap, Gold Lily in the Thoroughbred Handicap, and Solmax in the Purebred Arabian Maiden Plate.
Lukas Delozier demonstrated his riding prowess with a notable double, steering Master Of Brazil to victory in the opening Thoroughbred Handicap for trainer Jassim Ghazali. He followed up by guiding Lulwat Al Faisal to success in the Local Thoroughbred Graduation Plate.
The meeting featured further success for Alberto Sanna, who partnered Insignia to victory in the Thoroughbred Handicap, while Saleh Salem Al Marri guided Almutawakel to an impressive win. Marco Casamento celebrated success aboard Maximus Alexios in the 1200m Thoroughbred Maiden Plate, and Faleh Bughanaim steered Bojdoor to victory in the Purebred Arabian Handicap.
Deputy Director of the QREC Registration & Studbook Department Saad Ali Al Kubaisi was on hand to present the trophies to the successful connections following the feature race triumph.
The ten-race card showcased the depth of talent at Al Rayyan, with victories spread across multiple trainers including Mohammed Ghazali, Ibrahim Saeed Al Malki, Yousef Al Jumaily, Nayef Batal Al Otibi, Khalifa Hamed Nasser Al Sawai, and Jean de Mieulle.
