Eight horses have been entered for the 39th running of the $6 million Longines Breeders' Cup Classic (Gr.1), which will be held on Saturday, November 5 at Keeneland. The morning line favourite is Hronis Racing, Summer Wind Equine, West Point Thoroughbreds, Siena Farm, and Woodford Racing's unbeaten Flightline, which opened at 3-5 on Monday. On Future Stars Friday, all of the Breeders' Cup stakes races will be for 2-year-olds, and the day will feature five Championship events. The $2,000,000 FanDuel Breeders' Cup Juvenile (Gr.1) presented by Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance and the $2,000,000 NetJets Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (Gr.1) will be the day's most anticipated events. These races will establish early favourites for the 2023 Kentucky Derby (Gr.1) and the Longines Kentucky Oaks (Gr.1). There were a total of 177 horses that entered the Championships at Del Mar, with six of them being previous champions. Flightline, trained by John Sadler and ridden exclusively by Flavien Prat, has triumphed in all five of his career starts by a cumulative margin of 62 ¾ lengths. The flightline will split off at the number four post.
