Dubai, United Arab Emirates: The Dubai Equestrian Forum has once again achieved success in advancing the equine business world. By effectively connecting manufacturers and service providers with their prospective customers, they have managed to bridge a significant gap.
The 4th Dubai Equestrian Forum held at Meydan Racecourse on 19th October, 2023, was a success with a strong turnout from both sides. The event was jointly organized by Dubai Racing Club and Dubai Equestrian Club and had the support of the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation and Emirates Racing Authority.
Major General Dr. Mohammed Issa Al Adhab and Khalifa Aboud Al Falasi inaugurated the fourth edition of the forum. The event was attended by high-profile government officials, including Sheikh Faisal Al Qassimi and Mohammed Al Shehhi, the General Manager of Emirates Racing Authority.
The Dubai Equestrian Forum has become a symbol of the connection between equestrian sport and the global community that supports it, attracting manufacturers and service providers to connect with their customers. Over 50 exhibitors showcased their products and services, and the event had over 500 visitors from the industry.
Speaking at the event, Dr Al Adhab said, “Thanks to the vision and directives of the wise leadership of the country, the UAE offers manufacturers and service providers a very competitive and vibrant environment in which to market and sell their products.
“The annual revenue for equestrian clubs in the country and the market for high-performance horse feeds and other supplements and equine supplies runs into very high figures and this has contributed to the establishment of the UAE’s position as a major centre for the equine industry in the region and around the world.”
According to Dr. Al Adhab, the forum has played a crucial role over the years by functioning as a congress, bringing together experts from various sectors such as suppliers, service providers, and innovators. This gathering provides them with the opportunity to interact with decision makers, horse owners, and stables to conduct their business in an organized and effective manner.
“The UAE is distinguished with its exhibitions and commercial gatherings that have earned a high reputation internationally,” he said.
“We at Dubai Racing Club hope that this specialised exhibition has helped those in equine businesses link up with their potential customers. The market for equestrian products and services is still a virgin market that is constantly evolving and one that is yet to be fully tapped into.”
The event had more than just an exhibition where exhibitors showcased their latest products and services and advancements in the equine field - it also included conferences with topics delivered by industry professionals that kept visitors engaged.
The conferences featured speakers such as Lulua Al Mansouri from the Emirates Arabian Horse Society, Brazilian jockey Bernardo Pinheiro who shared his experiences in the saddle, and Dr. Saeed Al Jabri who discussed the steps taken by the UAE to ensure the health and welfare of retired racehorses.
Additionally, Dubai Racing Club was presented with a Guinness World Record for hosting the world's biggest fireworks display during the 2023 Dubai World Cup night. The certificate was presented by Guinness World Records, the "global authority on all things record-breaking."
