Goemon delivered a polished performance to land the Bahrain Mile at Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club, giving trainer Haider Ebrahim and jockey Alberto Sanna a memorable triumph in the US$39,750 feature.
The 6YO, owned by Mohammed Khalid Abdulrahim, mastered the 1,600m contest with authority, crossing the line a length-and-a-quarter clear of Pure Dreamer for AM Smith. Mehmento claimed third for Al Afoo Racing and Jaber Ramadhan, while Dear My Friend rounded out the places for Charlie Johnston.
Sanna's stellar day continued in the Porsche Cup finale, partnering 3YO Qaseem to a neck victory. Thunder Moor pushed hard in second for Fawzi Nass, with Rebel at Dawn taking third and Kaasib fourth for Ali Abdulmajeed.
The supporting card saw Gamraan secure the REHC Cup over 2,000m for Osama Hashim, beating Firth of Clyde for Abdulla Kuwaiti and Double Jump. Sabriel completed the frame for Ebrahim.
