Trainer Rhys Radford is looking for a repeat of Great Shot's unexpected victory in the Furphy-Railway Stakes at Ascot five years ago.
Comfort Me, who finished second to Western Empire in last year's Gr.1 event, is a major hope for trainer Rhys Radford to win the race for a second time.
On the heels of two solid performances in the Gr.3 Eurythmic Stakes and Gr.2 Lee Steere Stakes, Comfort Me enters the $1.5 million event with a strong chance of winning .
Comfort, according to Radford, may rest assured. In preparation for Saturday, I hit a pair of personal bests and felt confident going for a third.
Radford said to TABradio, "I've been satisfied enough with both of them."
Assuming a smooth passage through the Railway, Radford plans on aiming Comfort Me at the $1.5 million Gold Rush on December 10.
