Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club is set to host 23 events, including 15 race meetings on the Emirates Racing Season calendar, such as the highly anticipated Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Jewel Crown and the President’s Cup. In addition, the club will also be hosting eight showjumping events.
Ali Al Shaiba, the Director General of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, expressed his appreciation for the backing provided by HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE and Chairman of the Presidential Court. As President of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, Sheikh Mansour has been instrumental in supporting the club's preparations for the 2023/24 Emirates Racing Season underway later this month.
At a press conference held on Thursday, Al Shaiba announced that the club has undergone extensive refurbishments to bring it up to the highest standards, including the addition of 10 royal suites, a VIP lounge, a restaurant, and over 300 parking spaces. The management is also committed to making the club more family-friendly and catering to all types of racegoers.
“We have a distinguished cooperation with the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation and the Emirates Racing Authority and have been making changes at the club to enhance the quality of racing and the overall racing experience,” said Al Shaiba, further revealing plans to develop racing and modernise the registration system and the saddling areas of the racecourse.
During the 2023/24 campaign, he emphasized the club's dedication to achieving significant success. At the event, Al Shaiba conveyed his genuine appreciation and gratitude to Sheikh Mansour for providing unwavering support to ADEC, resulting in immense benefits.
“His Highness’s support inspires us at the club to focus relentlessly on developing this sport in an honourable manner that befits the UAE’s status and reputation,” Al Shaiba concluded.
