In conclusion, Don Corleone and King's Gambit are two of the most promising colts in Peter and Paul Snowden's stable. Their upcoming barrier trials at Rosehill are highly anticipated by racing enthusiasts. With their impressive form and the Snowdens' exemplary training skills, both horses are likely to make a significant impact in the upcoming racing season.
"They look very good," Snowden said.
"Don's trial the other day was fine, I was happy with that. He will probably go first-up into The Run To The Rose.
"King's Gambit, we haven't confirmed a kick-off point but Melbourne is an option first-up.
"We might look at the Poseidon Stakes, 1100 down the straight as a possibility, just to test the water to see if he's any good down the straight.
"It could certainly come in handy to know earlier than later."
During his juvenile campaign, Don Corleone proved to be a formidable competitor, emerging victorious in his debut at Randwick in January and achieving impressive placements in the Group 1 Blue Diamond and Sires' Produce Stakes. He also managed to secure a respectable fourth place finish in the renowned Golden Slipper race.
King's Gambit also performed remarkably well in his four starts, earning a top-three placing in all of them. His notable accomplishments include a Listed win and a placement in the Golden Slipper.
Tuesday's upcoming trial session boasts an impressive lineup of talented horses, including the highly anticipated Nature Strip. Other notable contenders include the Snowdens' skilled sprinter Mazu, Derby winners Manzoice and Kovalica, Masked Crusader, Overpass, and Espiona. According to Snowden, their Doomben Cup winner Huetor is currently back in training and scheduled to participate in a trial run in early September.
